POWER Sessions is hosting a comedy show this month at the Harvest House International Church in Bulawayo to empower the public on vital skills to navigate the new year.

The poetry sessions started in 2023 and are held every last Wednesday of the month. The theme of the event is ‘into the maze’ which highlights the uncertainties and opportunities in the new year.

The founder of the initiative, Chengetai Sithole, said that the artists will use comedy to present the different tools that can be used by the public to navigate through different circumstances.

“A new year is filled with a number of challenges and opportunities for different people. In the show, the artists will perform in line with the theme and show the different opportunities that are presented by a new season,” he said.

Sithole indicated that the event was set to give a platform to a number of talented artists in the city.

“Power Sessions has presented an opportunity to different spoken word artists. There are a number of talented artists in the city and we continually give them a platform monthly to showcase their craft,” he said.
