President Mnangagwa has challenged Politburo members to be ideologically grounded, constitutionally embedded, and resolutely committed to disciplined leadership and effective governance.

Officially opening the strategic seminar for Politburo members this afternoon, President Mnangagwa, who is the party’s First Secretary, said the seminar is a fundamental intervention to sharpen the Politburo’s capacity to discharge party duties.

“I challenge the Politburo, being a critical nerve of our party’s overall machinery, to sharpen its collective skills and competencies.

“We must be ideologically grounded, constitutionally embedded, and resolutely committed to disciplined leadership and effective governance,” he said.

President Mnangagwa also urged Politburo members to engage in robust and frank deliberations during the seminar.

“As we share perspectives and proffer recommendations at this strategic seminar, let us do so with focus, unity of purpose, and a deep appreciation of the responsibility we carry.

“The future of our party, the stability of our beloved motherland, Zimbabwe, and the prosperity of generations to come depend on the quality of leadership and guidance we provide,” said President Mnangagwa.
