FINANCE, Economic Development and Investment Promotion Minister Professor Mthuli Ncube has presented a ZiG276,4 billion national budget for 2025 which authorities believe would entrench resilience and drive the country towards an upper middle-income society by 2030.

Internal and external shocks that include instability of the exchange rate and inflation as well as depressed commodity prices on the international market have weighed down the Government’s efforts.

Zimbabwe is seeking to achieve an upper middle-income society underpinned by the five-year National Development Strategy 1, which expires next year.

NDS 1 would be replaced by a similar policy, NDS 2 to lead the country towards the desired aspirations.
