TALENTED and sought-after dancehall producer Michael Marumbi, better known as PTK in the music circles, will be in Mutare today (Friday) to record local artistes courtesy of Diamond City Trust. Diamond City Trust is a trust founded by Arthur Mudariki with the objective of creating self sustenance for people in the arts and music industry.

“The trust was formed last year in June and the main objective is to create a self sustenance for local people in arts and music. We will help them to produce and market their music and we are working with artistes who have been in the industry, aspiring and also upcoming producers,” said Mudariki.
Mudariki is a man on a mission and vows to turn around in the local entertainment industry.

“So far we have managed to bring in well-known producers. We brought in Gunhill and last week we hosted JMP and this week from March 27-29 we are hosting PTK. Next we are bringing in DJ Fidel, the one who did Tockey Vibes’ Mhai. After we finish with producers we will have collaborations for known artistes with our own Mutare artistes. Nothing will stop Mutare to be a power house of entertainment,” said Mudariki.

PTK confirmed the latest development.
“Yes, I will be in Mutare for three days and I hope we will continue to work with Diamond City Trust,” said PTK.
PTK started his career in Mbare alongside other youths such as Levels and he is the producer of Highfield-based studio Bodyslam Records.

The 22-year-old producer is rated as one of the best dancehall producers.
He has produced for almost every big name as far as Zim-dancehall is concerned.

Some of the great names he has worked with include Shinsoman, Soul Jah Love, Seh Calaz and the list is endless.
He also produced riddims among them Final Battle which was used by Soul Jah Love on his hit Ndini uya uya, Mbare Riddim which produced Killer T’s hit Zvakaitika KuMbare among others.

He was also nominated for top producer at the inaugural Zim-dancehall Awards last year.
