THE host of the prestigious SheMillionaire Africa Women Wealth Builders Awards has hinted that the event could be held in Zimbabwe next year.

It brings together over 300 influential women from across the continent and the latest event was held on Saturday in Polokwane.

The SheMillionaire Africa Women Wealth Builders Awards has become a powerful platform for honoring female leadership and advancing financial education.

Host Dr Mandy Sigauke said:

“Thank you to all the resilient women who showed up, who believed in our vision and who embody the spirit of SheMillionaire.

“This event is about creating a legacy of wealth and empowerment for African women.

“As we look to the future, I am excited to announce my intentions to bring these awards to Zimbabwe next year.

“Together, we will continue to make an impact, one award, one achievement, one empowered woman at a time.”

Among those honoured was Zimbabwean brand influencer and life coach Tariro Gezi and gospel musician Fungisai Zvakavapano Mashavave.

They received awards recognising their remarkable contributions to their communities and industries.

This year’s event celebrated the achievements of 90 trailblazing women from 13 different nations, showcasing the strength, resilience, and potential of African women in business and beyond.

“Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma’s powerful keynote address set the tone for the evening, inspiring women to lead change in their communities,” said Dr Sigauke.

“The event also featured impactful talks from other renowned speakers, including Dr Martha Tilahun from Namibia, Dr Susan Tatah from Germany, Becky K from Zimbabwe, as well as South Africa’s own Sophie Ndaba of the ‘Generations’ fame.

“Their words resonated deeply with the audience, sparking meaningful discussions on women’s empowerment, financial literacy and economic independence for African women,” she said.

She added:

“This year’s awards were a major success, not only did we celebrate individual successes but also underscore our resilience as SheMillionaire as we overcame challenges and criticism from the previous year and managed to deliver an experience filled with unity, purpose, and joy this year.

“The atmosphere was alive with camaraderie and a shared mission of uplifting African women as attendees and honorees celebrated one another and reaffirmed their commitment to collective empowerment.”
