Singer launches talent show

Latwell Nyangu
TALENTED gospel singer, Darlington Matarirano, has launched a show dubbed ‘‘Zviri Mandiri’’ (Potential Realised), which seeks to showcase local talent. The singer says the concept was borrowed from his album, Zviri Mandiri, which he released last year in December.

Zviri Mandiri (Potential Realised), is a show which will give many people who are talented, but lack exposure, a chance to shine.

“I have also realised that many people in the world, especially those who are doing well, are relying on talent, so the idea of the talk show is to help our local people, who are gifted in different ways, to get exposure so that they can attract the international market,” he said.

The singer, who is also a pastor, said the show is also an opportunity to empower youths.

“I would want to empower our local artists with knowledge so that they will become more informed because, as much as they’re talented, information is critical.

“I will be considering all people and this came as an inspiration from my first hit song, Zviri Mandiri, that’s where the script is coming from,” he said.

Darlington, who is also a preacher with Jehovah Jireh Chosen Generation Ministries International, believes the message is well communicated through music.

The show will also  featured by television journalist Chido Machingambi.

He has an album Zviri Mandiri, which carries songs like Tiri vehumambo, Creation, I Don’t Want To Lose Your Presence, Vakatitangira, Real Life, Forever and Tinenyasha.
