IN a shocking case of child abuse, a 44-year-old Bulawayo man gave a seven-year-old boy a measly $1 as a?damagesa? for the injuries he inflicted on his anus after he allegedly sodomised him.

The boy who is attending a local primary school, after the sexual abuse, reportedly suffered deep fissures on his anus.

He also had difficulties in walking.

Circumstances are that sometime in May this year the boy who is doing Grade One was coming from school alone when he passed through the alleged sexual predator Zenzo Ndlovuas house along Greenville Avenue in West Somerton when he called him.

It is alleged that the seemingly suspicious boy refused but Ndlovu followed him.

When he caught up with him he is alleged to have held him by his right hand and forced him to his house.

Upon arrival, it is reported that Ndlovu forced the boy into his bedroom where he forced him to remove his clothes and lie on his bed while facing downwards.

It is alleged that while facing downwards, Ndlovu lifted the boyas legs and repeatedly forced his organ between his buttocks until the helpless boy pleaded for mercy.

After the heinous act, Ndlovu reportedly threatened the boy withA unspecified action if he ever reported the matter to anyone before giving him $1 saying it was payment for the injuries he inflicted on his behind.

The matter however, came to light when the boyas father discovered that he was having difficulties walking.

Upon being questioned, the boy revealed that he was abused by Ndlovu who subsequently gave him $1 as payment for injuring him.

The boyas father examined him and was apparently shocked when he discovered that he had sustained severe injuries.

He reported the matter to the police leading to Ndlovuas arrest.

For the offence, Ndlovu was hauled before Bulawayo magistrate Batanai Tuhwe charged with aggravated indecent assaultA as read in section 66 (1) (a) (ii) of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act Chapter 9:23.

He was not asked to plead and was remanded in custody to 20 June.
