NMB Bank Zimbabwe on 2 December officially unveiled its new and bigger Bindura branch, demonstrating its commitment to enhancing customer convenience and improving financial services experience.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was graced by Bindura’s Mayor, His Worship Jacob Gwature, alongside NMB Bank’s Group Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Gerald Gore, Chief Banking Officer Mr. Lloyd Kazunga, NMB Bank senior management, staff, valued clients, and members of the media.
The event was held at the new branch, strategically located at Shop 13, NSSA Commercial Complex, Atherstone Road, Bindura. This larger facility is part of NMB Bank’s ongoing effort to better serve its growing customer base in the region.
Speaking at the event, NMB Bank CEO Mr. Gerald Gore highlighted the bank’s commitment to growth in Bindura:
“We opened the doors to our first Bindura Kiosk on the 1st of August 2017, and I am proud that our first clients were none other than Bindura University Lecturers and the Driving School next door. Today, we take another significant step forward with the relocation of this branch to a bigger, better, and more modern space.
“This move is not just a change in address – it is a statement of our belief in the potential of Bindura and its people. It reflects our aspiration to better serve you, our valued clients, and reinforces our commitment to progress. Furthermore, our strategic thrust includes fostering partnerships across various sectors represented in greater Mashonaland Central. By collaborating with key stakeholders in education, agriculture, mining, small businesses, and other critical areas, we aim to drive inclusive growth and development in the region, ensuring a brighter future for all.”
Mr. Lloyd Kazunga, NMB Bank’s Chief Banking Officer, also reflected on the bank’s strategy to enhance accessibility: “In 2022, we partnered with Zimpost to extend our footprint across the country, ensuring banking services are available even in the most remote areas. This partnership aligns with our commitment to customer convenience and financial inclusion.
“The launch of this larger branch in Bindura is yet another step forward in that journey. Additionally, we are committed to supporting youth projects in Bindura, recognizing the vital role young people play in driving innovation and community development. By investing in their potential, we aim to contribute meaningfully to the socio-economic growth of the region.
“His Worship Mayor Jacob Gwature expressed his gratitude to NMB Bank for its contribution to the Bindura community and emphasized the importance of continued collaboration:
“We appreciate NMB Bank’s investment in our community, and I look forward to fostering a strong partnership that benefits both the bank and the residents of Bindura.”
