TRIANGLE United coach, Jairos Tapera, says his men have been traumatised by the violence which erupted at Gibbo on Sunday.
The Sugar Sugar Boys beat Black Rhinos 1-0 in a match that was marred by violence.
He claims the furore exploded after Chauya Chipembere’s technical staff, led by coach Herbert Maruwa, invaded their territory, during warm-up, and sprinkled some water.
Blows were exchanged in the melee that followed.
Russel Madamombe netted the solitary goal to take his tally to six.
“We never expected such things and I don’t know why they did what they did,” said Tapera.
“Of late, we have heard rumours about such things, but we saw it with our own eyes over the weekend, and we are still traumatised.
“It’s high time we, as coaches, start to respect the fans and our bosses because it’s sad for them, in this age, to be experiencing such things,” said Tapera.
The victory was Triangle’s first win since the start of the second half of the season.
Tapera said they were not reading much into what was happening in the Ngezi Platinum camp, following the dismissal of Benjani Mwaruwari.
The Sugar Sugar Boys travel to Ngezi for their next assignment.
“Ngezi poses a threat despite what has been happening there.
“We are eyeing a point at Baobab, if we can manage to get a point, I will salute my boys, and a win will be a bonus for us.
“We were going through a rough phase and we now need to be consistent to remain in the Premiership next season,” he said.
