Tears are precious, hence God puts them in a bottle!

PSALM 56:8-9
Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book? (9) When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.
He knows what we go though. He takes note of our steps.
In all the wanderings that God takes note of, the tears that we cry are also known by God. The tears that we shed, do not fall to the ground. They are a precious liquid that God puts in a bottle.
Those tears speak more than our words can speak. We can utter vain words, but we cannot shed useless tears before God. God puts those tears in a bottle and writes the cause of their shedding in a bottle. Our tears are kept by God for remembrance.
David was a man of tears.
He says in Psalm 42:3: “My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God?”
In Isaiah 38 when the Word of the LORD was brought to Hezekiah to tell him that he was going to die, he prayed with tears, and God sent Isaiah again to him to say: “Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days 15 years.”
God sees tears.
The tears of Hezekiah caused God to reverse the sentence of death. Tears can reverse misfortune to fortune and change death into life.
In Mark 9:21-24, the father of the epileptic child cried out to Jesus, and said with tears: “Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.”
In Luke 7:37-38 (KJV), a woman in the city, who was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at a mat in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster box of ointment, and stood at Jesus’ feet behind Him weeping, and began to wash His feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head, and kissed His feet, and anointed them with the ointment.
Her tears were rewarded with the forgiveness of her sins.
In Acts 20:17-19, Paul called the elders of the church, and told them that he had served the Lord with all humility of mind, and with many tears.
In 2 Corinthians 2:4, Paul said he was writing to the church with many tears.
Jesus Himself was a man of tears. He often offered prayer with strong crying and tears.
In Hebrews 5:6-7 it is written: “As He saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. [7] Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared.”
Tears are a language that God understands. When you cry, you are desperate. God hears a desperate cry. I do not mean a cry of emotion: I mean a cry that comes from the heart which is full of sincerity and earnestness. Those are the tears that God understands and puts in a bottle. They do not fall to the ground and waste away. They are rewarded.
Lazarus was raised from the dead. Your tears can raise dead situations.
Others may say crying while praying is just being emotional. It may be emotional but people get emotional at soccer matches and funerals. It is because of passion. When you have a passion, you cry. When you deeply think of God and His grave, you cry. When you are pleading your case before God, you cry. The father of the epileptic child cried. Hezekiah cried. Jesus cried. Paul cried.
When Israel was in bondage, they cried, until God said “I have heard the cry of my children”. He sent down Moses to deliver them. When I remember His grace and His salvation, I weep like a baby. But there is coming a day that we shall cease to cry.
In Revelation 21:4, we hear that: “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
We shall cry and sorrow no more. God shall wipe away all tears. Until then let us offer prayers with strong crying!
