Thelma left her group in the middle of the task and came back after the group was almost through with the task.
She was further accused of being disrespectful to her leader Raymond Mashari.
Thelma seemed not to be happy with Raymond being team leader during the tasks and he in turn singled her out as the weakest link in the group during the boardroom sessions.
Even a blooper by Tafadzwa Munatsi was not enough to convince judges not to send her home.
Tafadzwa had told chief mentor and judge Nigel Chanakira the wrong date for their exhibition and could only give an excuse that her battery was low after she realised that she had not told Chanakira that the exhibition was the next day.
Chanakira said: “I took time from my busy schedule after I got a call from you that the exhibition was so exciting and I drove to the venue only to find that people had not done anything. I only found out that the exhibition was the next day when I was there”.
However, insubordination took precedence over failing to communicate and Thelma got the boot.
The cunning nature of Tafadzwa put the final nail to Thelma’s coffin as she revealed that indeed Thelma had “no love” for her boss, Raymond, and was often rude throughout the task.
Despite efforts to prove that they worked as a team, Nigel’s sharp probing skills proved that team dynamics, once again, were the main reason behind team Explosive’s dismal performance.
Bulawayo’s contestant Sandisiwe Mahlangu is still in the running for the $25 000 but she is holding on by a thread as she was, for the second week, found to be the weakest link in her team Alkandros.
Her team was led by Harare contestant Godwin Gogwe.
The two teams were required to put up a Zimbabwe Motor Show in two different venues, invite guests and push volumes on behalf of Zimbabwe’s leading motor assembly plants. While Godwin’s team quickly went through its brainstorming session, identifying Chapman Golf Club as an ideal venue for the motor show, Raymond’s charges were not equal to the task, choosing a laid back approach to coming up with a winning strategy.
However, fortune smiled on Sandisiwe as her team Alkandros won the task and she was spared the chop for the second time in as many weeks.
For Thelma the story was different as she was seen as being non-compliant towards her leader Raymond Mashari.
In previous weeks, Thelma had been slapped by Gweru contestant Tapiwanashe Chikwinho who was evicted for violent behaviour.
Seven contestants are left in the show.
