Tout murdered over Z$350

A TOUT stationed outside Parirenyatwa Hospital was murdered following a misunderstanding, with a fellow tout, over Z$350.

Blessing Steven of Dzivarasekwa was not asked to plead when he appeared before magistrate Dennis Mangosi.

The court heard that last Friday, the now deceased, Sipho Mafu, and Steven, were loading passengers outside the Parirenyatwa Hospital small gate, along Leopold Takawira Avenue.

It is alleged Steven loaded the car and was supposed to be paid $350 by the driver, but Mafu forcibly took the money.

This irked Steven, who then struck Mafu twice on the chest, and he fell onto the tarmac.

Mafu was taken to Parirenyatwa Hospital where he was pronounced dead upon admission.
