Tryson Chimbetu vowed to keep his father’s legacy alive after a top notch performance at Big Cheer Carnival Car Draw at Club Manake in Ruwa on Saturday.
The musician wowed the crowd with his uncle’s songs and his compositions.
To show his versatility, the musician also sampled dancehall tunes he has done with upcoming dancehall artistes.
The musician said the challenges he has faced in the music industry have made him a better artiste.
“I have learnt to be strong and to continue building my brand. No amount of setbacks and challenges will force me to quit music,” he said.
The “Ndondo” hitmaker who now spots a gingered mohawk hairstyle said Dendera music was not defined by haircuts.
“People think that Dendera is defined by the box cut hairstyle which our fathers used to spot, but it is not the case. They would spot different hairstyles depending with the time. They also used to have afro-hairstyles during their formative years.
“I am moving with time, that is why I am now spotting a mohawk,” said the singer.
The musician said he was putting final touches to his new album.
