Two killed in road accident

TWO people were killed, while nine were injured when a Mazda B1600 they were travelling in veered off the road on the 70km peg along Nyanga–Ruwangwe Road recently.
Manicaland provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Tavhiringwa Kakohwa, confirmed the accident that happened in Nyamaropa last week.He said: “The vehicle veered off the road last week killing two people on the sport and injuring nine.”Insp Kakohwa said the car which is owned and driven by Enock Nyamaropa (51) of Jerusalem, Nyatate in Nyanga had 11 passengers on board.

He said: “Nyamaropa was driving along Nyanga-Ruwangwe Road towards Nyanga. On approaching the 70km peg, he lost control of the vehicle and it veered off the road to the left, overturned thrice before landing on its wheels. Two people died on the spot, while nine sustained injuries and were taken to Regina Coeli Mission Hospital. I urge all drivers to exercise caution on the roads to avoid unnecessary loss of lives.”
