A silver Infinity laptop worth US$S650 was stolen from a company in Belmont after unknown suspects gained unlawful entry over the weekend.
Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Nomalanga Msebele confirmed the incident, which was reported on 7 August 2026 at around 7:45AM. The premises are situated along Leamington Road.
“On 6 August 2026 at about 1710 hours, a 37-year-old mechanical supervisor from Ascot knocked off duty and left the offices secure. All doors were locked and windows closed,” said Insp Msebele.
Returning the next morning, he found both the main building door and his office door open.
“Upon entering his office, he discovered that a silver Infinity laptop which had been on the table was missing,” Insp Msebele explained.
No other items were reported taken. The total value of the stolen property is US$650.
Inspector Msebele called on members of the public to assist with information.
“We appeal to anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of the suspects to come forward and report at any nearest police station,” she said.
