TM Pick n Pay Zimbabwe and CABS have donated US$80,000 worth of life-saving chemotherapy drugs to KidzCan Zimbabwe during the Orange Month promotion.

TM Pick n Pay poured in US$50,000 while CABS donated US$30,000. Valerie Muyambo, the CABS chief finance officer, said the donation was a symbol of hope, compassion and community spirit.

“Cancer is a devastating challenge for everyone but it is especially heartbreaking when it affects children.

“No child should have to endure such a battle at such a young age.

“The emotional and financial toll it takes on families is immense and it is in these moments that organisations like Kidzcan become a beacon of light.

“They provide not only essential medication but also unwavering support and encouragement to children and their families during their most difficult times.

“This marks the second year of our partnership with TM Pick n Pay in the fight against childhood cancer.

“Just as we did last year, for every swipe on a CABS POS machine at TM Pick n Pay stores during the month of February, CABS pledged a donation to Kidzcan.

“Today, we are honoured to present Kidzcan with a US$30,000 donation in the form of chemotherapy drugs.

“Our collaboration with TM Pick n Pay signifies the power of community and how, together, we can make a significant impact.”

Gamu Nyamuzinga, the representative from TM Pick n Pay, said:

“As we hand over these proceeds to KidzCan, let us remember that this is not just a financial contribution, it is a symbol of hope, resilience and the unwavering spirit of our community.

“We are standing together in solidarity with these children and their families and together we can make a difference.”
