VILLAGERS PROMOTE CULTURE

Arron Nyamayaro
DOMBOSHAVA villagers have embraced cultural practices to uphold moral values, thanks to First Choice Art and Craft Group.

The group spent the better part of Monday promoting women and youth in preparing nutritional foods and maintaining cultural values.

Fronted by Cathrine Mapokotera, the camp told H-Metro the campaign, which was launched by First Lady Dr Auxilia Mnangagwa, has changed the community’s life and diet.

“We have been encouraged by the First Lady to rely on traditional foods so this is what we are teaching women and the youth to prepare,” said Cathrine.

“More women have been joining us and we have engaged boys and girls to have time with our traditional leaders.

“There is a community behavioural change, especially on the choice of words when speaking, and good manners,” she said.

Local kraal head, Leonard Chipatiko, graced the event.
