A woman from Matobo in Matabeleland South Province is reportedly refusing to hand over her ex-loveras underwear claiming she still had pending business with him.

Sipho Ncube from Gulati village suspects that his ex-lover Siphathisiwe Ndlovu wants to take his underwear to a traditional healer to fix him as punishment for dumping her.

This was revealed at the Bulawayo Civil Court where Ncube sought a protection order.

Ncube said he ended the affair because he found Ndlovu possessive and her behaviour unnerving.

a?I was in a relationship with Siphathisiwe (Ndlovu) for 18 months and when we broke up in February she started verbally and physically abusing me together with my family. I am now even afraid of going out as she is in the habit of assaulting me each time we meet.

a?As if that is not enough, Siphathisiwe is refusing with my underwear saying she still has pending business with me despite the fact that I am now married to another woman.

a?I am now living in fear that she might take the underwear to a sangoma to have me fixed as punishment for dumping her,a? said Ncube.

When asked to respond, Ndlovu said she was surprised that Ncube was now dumping her in court.

a?I never assaulted him as he has alleged. We have been in love for the past three years before he moved out saying he was coming back. I am now surprised that he is now saying he no longer loves me.

a?When he left my place he also took my skirt and blouse that is why I thought he was going to come back. He never told me that he no longer loved me and that he is now married to another woman,a? she said.

Presiding magistrate Sheunesu Matova ordered the two estranged parties not to verbally and physically abuse or threaten each other in any way.
