The complainant locked all doors and closed all windows and left her house for an all-night church service.

She returned the following morning only to discover that the thief had used an unknown object to unlock the dining room door, gained entry into the house and stole 6 Lithium batteries, one inverter and went away unnoticed.

Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector Luckmore Chakanza confirmed the case.

“Police are investigating an unlawful entry and theft case in Highlands.

“The complainant found her house broken into upon returning from a church service in Chitungwiza.

“Total value stolen is US$1 500,” said Insp Chakanza.
