A 38-YEAR-OLD woman from Harrisvale suburb in Bulawayo is appealing for help from the public to cover the costs of her liver and kidney treatment.
Jenita Chabata, a mother of two children, said she was diagnosed with a poisonous substance in her body that is damaging both her liver and kidneys.
She said she has gone without proper treatment for five months, putting her life at risk. She fears for her life if she does not receive immediate medical attention.
“I am appealing to the public for financial assistance as I cannot afford the cost of my treatment and approximately US$615 is needed, with additional costs yet to be determined. I recently tried selling my vending equipment to raise the necessary funds, but it is insufficient,” she said.
Chabata said her inability to afford treatment has caused her immense emotional and physical suffering. Constant stress and pain have also taken a toll on her well-being. She said her friends and customers have been her emotional support system during this difficult time.
“I pray that the Lord protects and blesses those who will assist me, “ said Chabata. She expressed hope for a long and healthy life after receiving treatment.
“I plan to work diligently to provide for my children once I recover,” she added. Those wishing to assist can contact her on 0786352078
