LITTLE Miss Zimbabwe 2021 winner, Tadisa Kaseke, has taken the initiative to donate sanitary pads to the rural girl child.
The manager and mother of a 10-year-old, Deleen Kaseke, said modelling was not about beauty and glamour but should play a role to instil morals in society.
“Being a queen isn’t just about wearing a crown, long beautiful gowns, make-up, photoshoots and feeling good.
“Being a queen is serving people as a lifestyle and having a royal heart.
“Remember, an educated generation promotes a better tomorrow,” she told H-Metro.
Deleen said the motive was to encourage children to share while being aware of their rights.
“We need to teach our children the principle of giving.
“Not all kids are as comfortable as they are but, at the same time, children’s rights must be met and respected.
“My neighbour may not sleep on a bed but she definitely has a right to go to school in full school uniform and have access to sanitary wear,” she said.
They are targeting rural areas, close to Harare, for their programmes.
“We are yet to identify a rural needy area.
“We want one within the proximity of Harare for logistics sake.
“We would love to do the donations on the last weekend before the third term school opening,” said Deleen.
Tadisa also scooped Miss Pre Teen Smile (2019) and she is a Junior Model International Finalist 2021.
