ZC hail schools fest

The matches are being played at five ven­ues Westridge, Eaglesvale, Prince Edward, Churchill and Old Hararians.
“The standard of cricket was good and most of the players have improved.
“We have no winners at the festival though we use it as part of our selection process for our national age group teams and it is an important event for the players.
“Our objective is to spread the game, increase participation and development and we were happy with the turnout,” said Singo.
The festival has more than 58 schools tak­ing part and include teams from the five cen­tres of excellence in Glen View and Budiriro.
Some of the schools taking part include Glen View One, Goromonzi, Bindura Select, Churchill, Milton, Gifford, Mutare, Hillcrest, Marondera, Chinhoyi High, Jameson, Westridge, Victoria High, Klye College, Prince Edward and Eaglesvale.
The festival is played annually in the capi­tal.
