ZIMBABWEAN fashion has leaped onto the global stage, thanks to the remarkable efforts of local designer Jasper Mandizera, who recently represented the nation at the prestigious World Fashion Exchange (WFE).

Showcasing his unique brand ‘Ivhu Tribe’, Mandizera shared designs that reflect the rich cultural heritage of Zimbabwe while also embracing modern global trends.

“Participating at the World Fashion Exchange (WFE) was an incredible experience that exceeded my expectations. I never imagined I would have the opportunity to showcase on such a grand stage, and I’m grateful to God for making it possible,” Mandizera said.

He added:

“Ivhu Tribe’s inclusion in WFE highlights a growing interest in African designers and Zimbabwe is no exception. As a representative of Zimbabwe, I was honoured to share my designs with the world. Our inclusion in WFE goes a long way in paving the way for future generations of Zimbabwean designers to join the global fashion community.

“The WFE experience provided not only exposure but also invaluable lessons about the fashion industry’s complex inner workings.”

“Armed with this knowledge, I am eager to keep raising the Zimbabwean flag high at international events, with the aim to establish meaningful partnerships and solidify Zimbabwe’s presence on the global fashion map.”

The World Fashion Exchange is an international platform that celebrates the diversity and creativity of designers worldwide, offering opportunities for fashion houses to connect with global markets and communities.
