Zimbabwe is set to present its finest horticultural produce at Fruit Logistica 2026, the world’s largest fresh produce trade fair, scheduled to take place in Berlin, Germany, from February 4 to 6, 2026.
The country’s local companies will display their products while engaging potential buyers and exploring new international markets.
In a post on social media, the national trade development and promotion organisation, ZimTrade, confirmed Zimbabwe’s participation:
“This year, our pavilion is bigger, with more local companies showcasing the very best of Zimbabwe’s produce. Visit us and see what we are growing. Hall 26, Stand D-80, see you there.”
The Horticultural Development Council (HDC) will also represent Zimbabwe at the event, highlighting the nation’s strong horticultural potential.
“It’s the world’s leading fresh produce trade fair and a great platform to showcase Zimbabwe’s horticultural strengths to global markets,” said the HDC.
The HDC supports export horticulture producers and facilitates the growth of specialised producer associations, including the Avocado Growers Association, Zimbabwe Blueberry Growers Association, Citrus Growers Association of Zimbabwe, Deciduous Fruit Growers Association, Export Flower Growers Association, Export Fresh Produce Growers Association, and Zimbabwe Tea Growers Association.
In 2025, 10 Zimbabwean companies participated at the prestigious fair, which features nearly 2 800 exhibitors and attracts participants from over 145 countries. The event regularly brings together close to 73 000 industry professionals, covering fresh fruits and vegetables, nuts, dried fruits, packaging and labelling, logistics, storage, and other key areas.
Every year since 1993, Messe Berlin has hosted the gathering, where international buyers place orders, explore market trends, and engage with innovators in the global fresh produce sector.
Zimbabwe’s participation at Fruit Logistica complements the growth of its horticulture sector, which continues to expand and position itself as a significant contributor to the country’s broader agricultural landscape.
