adminZPC Kariba started the season on a high and were top of the table before a string of poor results dislodged them from the summit, something which Chimalizeni believes was a result of complacency.
In their last match they lost 1-2 to Scotia at home and Chimalizeni believes it was a wake-up call for his boys.
“We underestimated our opponents and we paid for that,” said Chimalizeni.
“Our chances to win the championship are still bright but we really need to fight hard and win our matches.
“I am happy with our current position because we are within the reach of the two teams that are on top of us and if we beef up our team during the transfer window
we will definitely have a big shout for the championship.
“We are looking at signing five experienced players to strengthen our squad for the second half of the season.
“I am happy with the overall performance of the team despite the last three results in which we drew two and lost one,” said Chimalizeni.
Twalumba also finished the first half of the season on a high note after trouncing DStv Rangers 3-0 over the weekend.
