MDC-T bosses besiege AG’s office

MDC-T’s top brass allegedly besieged Attorney-General Mr Johannes Tomana’s office demanding the release of the party’s youth leader and other activists charged with the murder of police inspector Petros Mutedza in Glen View last year.
Secretary-general Mr Tendai Biti, Mr Giles Mutsekwa (security) and Mr Elton Mangoma (deputy secretary for finance) reportedly stormed Mr Tomana’s office at the Government Complex along Samora Machel Avenue in Harare on the 15th of this month.
Mr Tomana yesterday confirmed the development, but did not give more details.
However, Mr Mutsekwa and Mr Mangoma yesterday denied visiting the AG.
Mr Biti, who is attending an AfDB meeting in Tunisia, could not be reached for comment.
Mr Biti is Finance Minister while Mr Mangoma and Mr Mutsekwa are ministers for Energy and Power Development and National Housing and Social Amenities, respectively, in the inclusive Government.
