ANOTHER Bulawayo firm, Ascot Clothing, has been placed under liquidation while workers from Belmor Manufacturers yesterday scrambled to grab machinery that the company sold to them by auction.

Belmor Manufacturers closed shop last week citing viability problems and offloaded about 300 workers.

The workers were given their retrenchment packages on Friday.

Come up with policies that promote our culture, Govt urged

CHIEF Nkathazo Siatabwa from Sainsali village in Binga, has challenged the Ministry of Education, Sports, Arts and Culture to come up with policies that promote culture especially at primary school level.

Chief Siatabwa made the remark at Kariangwe Mission in Binga, where he was officially opening Shangano Arts Festival 2012.
