A second-year politics and public management student at Midlands State University died when he allegedly committed suicide by taking some poison when he discovered he had failed last semester’s examinations.
The student has been identified as Benjamin Mukwaira who was pursuing a degree in Politics and Public Management.

Addressing delegates at the official opening of the 2012 Hospitality Association of Zimbabwe (HAZ) Annual Congress held at a Gweru hotel on Thursday, Eng Mzembi said the Inclusive Government should stop communicating contradictions to the world and start speaking with one voice.
The minister said every economic sector, including those in the tourism industry, had a role to play in preparing to deliver the brand Zimbabwe to the world.
“Ladies and gentlemen, we have a golden opportunity ahead of us to resuscitate and launch our sector to greater heights because already the facts and figures point to a sustained improvement in performance of the sector. We have a huge and exceptional opportunity to become a Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions (MICE) destination of choice arising out of this hosting of the UNWTO General Assembly.
