Plot owner loses 5kg of gold in gold rush at Summerset

HEAVILY armed police officers have been deployed to a plot in Summerset in Lower Gweru following a gold rush in the area.

The police officers, some with dogs, were deployed to the area after the plot owner, Mr Eliot Khumalo, reportedly lost about five kilogrammes of gold he was keeping at his homestead to some armed people following the discovery of the mineral in his fields about two weeks ago.
