Highlanders FC has become somewhat a home of festivities in line with celebrating the teama��s 90th anniversary.
B Metro spoke to a die hard Bosso fan- the cluba��s vice chairman Morden Ngwenya who gave a break-down of how a Highlanders weekend usually shapes up.
On Friday, the club owned Manwele Beer GardenA� hosts an epic entertainment night with various local DJs battling it out with old school and new school music.A� As the music plays, supporters get to discuss the inside scoop to do with the team. It could be about the game or their favourite players personal lives.
a�?We want to boost the morale of club members by making sure that they are satisfied throughout the weekend by engaging top notch entertainment at both venues- the club house and at Manwele,a�? said Highlanders vice chairman Modern Ngwenya.
In running the entertainment side of the club, Ngwenya said the club intends to keep its fans happy at all levels.
On Africa day- midweek the club held a talent show that featured IyasA� andA� musician Magwaza.
Highlanders players will have time to mix and middle with supporters on free Saturdays.
a�?Our players will also be taking tours in most western suburbs every Saturday when we have home games. Last week the team went to Cowdray Park, Emakhandeni and Luveve,a�? said Ngwenya.
