NGEZI Under-19 coach, Kifton “Somalia” Kadurira, says the injury crisis, which has struck his camp, will complicate matters for them in their showdown against Simba Bhora.
The two sides meet in a ZIFA Northern Region Division One Soccer League battle tomorrow.
Kadurira told H-Metro he will have seven of his regular players, who are nursing injuries, missing from this match.
The last time these two sides met, it was a high-scoring encounter as they settled for a 3-3 stalemate.
Takunda Benhura, who has since earned his place in the club’s senior team, netted a hat-trick to deny Simba Bhora maximum points.
“The boys are raring to go, it’s always encouraging for the players to play a side like Simba Bhora, a team with many big names.
“It’s not going to be an easy task but we are going there for maximum points.
“It’s unfortunate that we are going to play without seven of our influential players but in football you have to accept everything.
“Yes, it’s going to be a different and difficult fixture, they are at home and we have also promoted three players, who were involved in the first fixture, to the senior team.
“The void will be felt but I have enough confidence in the available players,” said Kadurira.
Simba Bhora are yet to drop a point at Wadzanai.
Arthur “Tuts” Tutani men will play their first match after the tragedy which struck their camp when midfielder Barnabas Mushunje, died in a car crash.
Herentals are in pole position with 40 points, Simba Bhora are sitting in the second spot, just a point off the mark, and Golden Eagles make up the top three.
Ralph Kawondera will be hoping to make his mark as Trojan coach at home, by collecting his first three points, when he welcomes Levison Solus’s Karoi United.
PAM FC will host the whipping boys Harare City Cubs.
Kelvin Togaraseyi’s troops are enduring a dreadful season, they have managed just two victories in 17 assignments.
Stewart “Shutto” Murisa is yet to accumulate a full set of points, in two attempts, as Banket United coach. His side are away to Black Mambas.
Herentals Under-20 visit CAM & Motor in Kadoma.
