TAKUDZWA Chimwemwe is set to play his first game for TP Mazembe in the CAF Confederation Cup this weekend.
The Congolese giants are set to face Young Africans away in Tanzania.
Chimwemwe was an unused substitute in his club’s 3-1 win over Real Bamako last weekend.
“I am happy to be here and I must say that I have adapted well.
“The coach and my teammates were very welcoming and have tried their best to make me feel at home in spite of the language barrier.
“I am now learning French, Swahili and Lingala.”
He added:
“Besides that, everything has been going well and I’m looking forward to playing my first game for the club.
“I’ve been playing a lot in friendly matches and I am excited that we are in the CAF Confed Cup.
“I want to help my team go to the next level of the competition.”
Chimwemwe joined Mazembe on a two-year deal last month.
He is one of the few Zimbabwean players to play for the Congolese giants.
The others are Ali Sadiki, Darryl Nyandoro and Christopher Samakweri.
