Manica Post hosts church indaba

Post Reporter
THE Manica Post will next Friday hold a breakfast meeting with church leaders from across the province whose thrust is to offer the paper as a medium of communication to the religious sector. Sales, Marketing and Distribution manager, Mrs Elizabeth Mushonga, said the indaba would open lines of communication with the church at various levels.

Zimpapers board member Bishop Trevor Manhanga will be the guest of honour at the function that will start at 7.30am. “The function follows consultative meetings we held with church leaders at individual level who positively responded to the need to afford them a voice and space in our publication.

We want to bring religious leaders under one roof and offer our paper as a medium to them and their churches. When that happens we reinforce relationships with these leaders who are influential in the community,” she said.

Mrs Mushonga said all denominations were encouraged to write articles that educate people on whatever issue they desire. “In the end the church will be able to reach out to some of its congregates who would have missed prayer sessions and various other church gatherings,” she said.
