Matopo girl releases love album

A dancehall artiste from Matopo in Matabeleland South province has released an album. An offering that is set to promote love among people.

Savellyn Maphosa popularly known as Capri B has released an album titled Wozo Thatha Uthando which has six tracks. Maphosa said the key message in her music was to spread the gospel of love as it can bring great yields to society.

“My musical journey started when I was young and what I loved mostly is the power of music in spreading a message and uniting communities. As an artiste, I have used it to spread the gospel of love and this is after realising the negative effects that hate has brought into our societies,” she said.

She stated that the song is also directed at couples.“The song is not only directed to society but also to couples. It speaks about the importance of love and emphasises the need for compatibility in relationships,” she said.

Maphosa said she has collaborated with a number of prominent artistes like Madlela Skhobokhobo and hopes in the years to come she will be a household name.
