Government has commissioned the Chivi Water Treatment Plant, which is set to improve water provision in Masvingo province.

The rehabilitation of water supply infrastructure is part of the Zimbabwe National Water Authority (Zinwa)’s efforts to improve water provision in small towns, growth points and rural service centres across the country.

In a tweet on Thursday, Zinwa said:

“Before the rehabilitation, water production had fallen to a low of 12 000 cubic metres per month in January/February 2021, but has since peaked to 46 000 cubic metres per month.”
