NGEZI Platinum Stars spokesperson, Roberta Katunga, has confirmed the suspension of the club’s veteran goalkeepers’ coach, Cosmas Zulu.
Yesterday, H-Metro exclusively reported that Madamburo had suspended Zulu over allegations he was undermining the technical staff.
Katunga refused to divulge more information, related to the matter, but confirmed the developments.
“We would like to confirm the suspension of our goalkeepers’ coach Zulu over a disciplinary matter that is currently under investigation,” said Katunga.
“The club is not in a position to comment further over the matter until the investigation has been completed.
“We have adequate technical resources to cover his position in the meantime while the internal process is going on.”
Many analysts have questioned the club’s ability to handle their in-house squabbles.
It appears the Ngezi Platinum Star’s board has a unique way of showing their employees the exit.
This is exactly how former coach, Rodwell Dhlakama, lost his job at the Mhondoro side.
He had to serve a lengthy suspension.
The club’s former chief executive officer, Nyasha Kadenge, was also relieved of her duties after being suspended.
It remains to be seen if Zulu, one of the last members of veteran coaches still involved in coaching, can survive from the suspension trap.
Benjani Mwaruwari’s Ngezi Platinum Stars are set for a date against Yadah tomorrow, at the National Sports Stadium.
They are still to register two wins on the bounce in this campaign.
Benjani’s troops have conceded five goals in their past two assignments.
