MANICA Post and Mutare Polytechnic have played four and eight matches respectively, but remain the only teams in the 2014 Mutare District Darts League without a single point. The once vibrant and well-organised 16-team Mutare Darts League has, however, been riddled by lack of orderliness as most of the teams are failing to submit match results for preparation of the log table.
Mutare Darts League organising secretary Innocent Gomba confirmed lack of sound co-ordination in the league saying the league administration does not have all the match results hence the disparities in the number of matches played by each team on the log table.
“Most of the teams have played quite a number of matches so far, but the unfortunate thing is that they are not submitting the match results to enable us to update the log table.”
Meanwhile, log leaders Mangenje Club seems to be enjoying life in the league after amassing 51 points from 18 matches, while second-placed Buffaloes have only managed 39 points from 15 matches. Lamour and Douggies might have collected three points each, but their achievements so far are almost similar to the league’s whipping boys — Manica Post and Mutare Poly.
