Skoro or Snake? Fans left confused!

FANS of the popular Amakorokoza television series are in shock and confusion following the death of veteran actor Aleck “Skoro” Zulu — with many mixing him up with fellow star Prince “Snake” Zulu.

Aleck died on March 30, 2026, at the age of 54 at his rented home in Sotshangane Flats. He was laid to rest at Umvutsha Cemetery on April 1.

But here’s the twist — Prince “Snake” Zulu is very much alive!

The confusion between the two stars has left many fans scratching their heads, with some even mourning the wrong person on social media.

Both “Skoro” and “Snake” were big names in the hit Amakhosi TV series Amakorokoza, and their shared surname “Zulu” has only added to the mix-up.

But make no mistake — these are two very different stars.

“Skoro” was loved for his humour, mischief and perfect comedic timing that kept viewers laughing. He was the joker of the show, always bringing light moments with his expressive face and funny antics.

On the other hand, “Snake” built his reputation as a street-smart, slick and more serious character. He brought intensity to the screen and was often seen alongside the notorious Teresia.

Even their on-screen energy was worlds apart! While “Skoro” delivered laughs, “Snake” delivered action and attitude.

However, because the two were part of the same iconic cast, fans often mentioned them together — just like famous TV duos. Over time, their identities became closely linked in the minds of viewers.

This has now led to what some call a “false memory”, where news about one automatically brings up the other, causing confusion about who is who — and even who has passed on.

As tributes continue to pour in for Aleck “Skoro” Zulu, fans are being urged to take a moment and separate fact from fiction.

One thing is clear — Amakorokoza has lost a legend, but “Snake” is still very much alive and kicking.
