A daring fraudster from Shurugwi has landed himself in trouble for defrauding Masvingo Mayor, Alderman Fermius Chakabuda of $1 250 after he misrepresented himself as a son to a farmer from Chatsworth in Gutu, who was selling four head of cattle.
13-year-old boy convicted on three counts of rape

A Bulawayo regional magistrate has sent a 13-year-old boy to Kadoma Training Institution, a reformatory centre, after convicting him on three counts of rape.
The boy from Plumtree raped different minors between April and August this year.

Sexual assaults up at US military schools
Washington — The number of sexual assaults reported at the country’s prestigious military academies rose sharply for the second year in a row, according to a Pentagon report issued on Tuesday.
A total of 65 sexual assault cases were reported at the three academies in 2010-11 compared to 41 reports in the previous academic year, the report said.
Putin calls Russia protesters ‘leaderless’
Russia’s prime minister has belittled the country’s protest movement as lacking clear aims or leaders and rejected their demands for a review of the results of disputed parliamentary polls.
