Senate ratifies protocol

SENATE has approved for ratification a United Nations protocol that seeks to prevent, suppress and punish human traffickers. Steering the protocol in the Upper House on Monday, Home Affairs co-Minister Theresa Makone said the policy sought to protect women and children who were subjected to trafficking due to economic hardships. Minister Makone said she was going to introduce a Bill that was meant to domesticate the protocol.
