VP Mujuru to officially open Mine Entra

VICE-President Joice Mujuru will officially open this year’s Mine Entra that starts at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair Exhibition Centre in Bulawayo on Wednesday.

Mine Entra, organised by the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair Company, is an annual specialised exhibition for companies in mining, engineering and transport sectors.

ZITF Company marketing and public relations manager Mrs Noma Ndlovu said the official opening would be on Thursday. The three-day exhibition which ends on Friday, will run under the theme, “Reveal Local Treasures, Strike Global Returns”.

Mrs Ndlovu said exciting products and services relevant to the mining industry would be on display.

“They range from mining equipment, services to the industry to heavy engineering, pumps, water tools and building and construction equipment,” she said.

Mrs Ndlovu said this year’s Mine Entra was expected to start on a high note with more than 230 direct exhibitors having already confirmed their participation. “The space in Halls 3 and 4 has been taken including the external sites around these halls.

“In total 6 900 square metres of exhibition space has been booked; a remarkable figure compared to 5 798 total space sold at Mine Entra 2011,” she said, adding that the expo was expected to draw visitors from all mining houses and related industries, locally and regionally.
