Zimbabwe Electoral Commission invites civic groups to register

THE Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) has invited civic groups that intend to conduct voter education programmes to register with it ahead of the harmonised general election scheduled for March next year.
In a statement yesterday, ZEC said interested civic society groups should register with the electoral body by 9 October.
This follows the endorsement of President Mugabe’s application by High Court judge president George Chiweshe to defer proclamation of by-elections dates to the end of March next year.
