Ministry short of $45 million to complete PSIP projects

THE Ministry of Public Works requires about $45 million to complete some of the 550 Government projects under the Public Sector Investment Programme (PSIP).
Work on the projects has been on a standstill for the past 15 years.

A SERIOUS shortage of water has hit Tshikwalakwala irrigation scheme in Beitbridge District due to a breakdown of pumps.
The latest development has forced farmers to reduce hectarage under crops.

AFRO Jazz outfit Terry and the Bliss scooped first prize in the sungura dominated Chibuku Road to Fame competitions held over the weekend in at the Glamis Arena in Harare.
The Kwekwe based outfit walked away with $5 000 and a recording contract with Gramma Records.
The group which hails from Mbizo suburb outclassed nine other groups from the country’s ten provinces to land the top spot in the annual competition.
