SUSPENDED FC Strikers coach and Highlanders legend Willard Khumalo has written a letter to his employers demanding his outstanding dues amid reports that a players’ crisis at the club was averted at the last minute this past weekend.
Sources close to the Beitbridge-based Zifa Central Region Division One side told Chronicle Sport that when news of the suspension of Khumalo filtered through, a total of eight players from Bulawayo who were recruited by the former Warriors midfielder threatened to walk out of the club unless they too, were paid their outstanding dues.Ministry short of $45 million to complete PSIP projects

THE Ministry of Public Works requires about $45 million to complete some of the 550 Government projects under the Public Sector Investment Programme (PSIP).
Work on the projects has been on a standstill for the past 15 years.

VILLAGERS in Tshamatema village in Tshitulipasi area of Beitbridge District are facing a serious water shortage and they have now resorted to sharing water with animals.
Chronicle last week visited the area and villagers who spoke to this paper confirmed the latest development.
“We have for the past three months been drinking water from Tshamatema Dam following the breakdown of several boreholes servicing the village. The dam water that we are now drinking is dirty and in some cases you find animal carcasses floating in water,” said Mr Rudzani Mbedzi.Kwekwe group scoops Road to Fame prize

The Kwekwe based outfit walked away with $5 000 and a recording contract with Gramma Records.
The group which hails from Mbizo suburb outclassed nine other groups from the country’s ten provinces to land the top spot in the annual competition.
