OPINION: Shurugwi North constituents laud MP

Constituents in Shurugwi North in the Midlands province have varying opinions regarding development in their constituency since the 2008 harmonised elections, which saw Cde Francis Nhema being voted as their representative in the House of Assembly.

While some of them know him as their MP and recognise his efforts to developing the constituency, others thought he was concentrating more on some parts of the constituency leaving others unattended to.

Some people said he was concentrating too much on Tongogara where clinics and schools are now in a better state when compared to other areas.

Woman ‘steals’ $11 000 from boyfriend

A Bulawayo man has been left poor after his girlfriend whom he had trusted and gave $11 000 allegedly decided to convert the amount to her own use.

Nothando Bukhosi Ngulube (43), of House Number 3176 Magwegwe North, yesterday pleaded not guilty to theft when she appeared before Bulawayo provincial magistrate Ms Gladmore Mushove.

She was remanded in custody to Tuesday for trial.

It is her defence that the money was stolen while she was in Mbare, Harare.
